The French`s Obsession with the Orange

It's amazing how apparently, the french are the largest importer of oranges in the world. Maybe it's because of the world-famous Canard à l'Orange (Duck with orange sauce, a french dish), but it may also have to do with the fact that the U.S. and China have a domestic production of Oranges, which France, the Netherlands and Germany clearly don't.

The fact that Hong Kong ranks fifth on a global scale is another surprise, but according to the Christian Science Monitor, the average Hong Kong Chinese "puts away some 60 pounds of oranges every year".
